2021 Uniform Plumbing Code

The 2021 edition of the Uniform Plumbing Code (UPC®) incorporates the latest advancements and best practices in the plumbing industry. Developed as the seventh edition under the ANSI Consensus process, it is officially recognized as an American National Standard by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI). This edition reflects input from a wide range of contributors, including consumers, regulatory authorities, installers, manufacturers, researchers, testing laboratories, labor organizations, and industry experts. Designed to ensure safe and sanitary plumbing systems, the UPC also promotes innovation and the adoption of new technologies. The fuel gas and medical gas provisions have also been updated, with improved categorization for easier use.
