Chava Frankfort-Nachmias is a retired professor of sociology at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
She has written several books, including Research Methods in the Social Sciences with David Nachmias, and has edited works like Sappho in the Holy Land with Erella Shadmi. She has also written about topics like ethnicity, development, urban changes, science and gender, and women in Israel. She received a teaching award for integrating race, ethnicity, and gender into social statistics and research methods courses. She co-authored Social Statistics for a Diverse Society with Anna Leon-Guerrero.
Anna Leon-Guerrero is a sociology professor at Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, Washington.
She has received awards for her teaching and research, including the university’s Faculty Excellence Award and the K. T. Tang Award for Research Excellence. She teaches courses on statistics, sociological theories, and social issues. In her work as a program evaluator and consultant, she has focused on welfare policies, job opportunities for low-income workers, and assessing the effectiveness of social programs.
